My Journey with the 21 Day Fix

Tomorrow I start a new round of the 21 Day Fix! 

I am excited and READY! ---More like ready to put the brakes on a cart rolling downhill without a driver gaining serious momentum. You see 4 years ago I was in the very best shape of my adult life. Now I am in the worst shape of my life :( Definitely something I have been struggling with to the point of embarrassment, self loathing, and feelings of just wanting to crawl under a rock and hide. Tomorrow morning I will be weighing in, taking my measurements, and my before photos...none of which I am looking forward to, but it is necessary to face where I have let myself go to before I can truly embrace making serious, long lasting, positive changes. So I will do it, accept it for what it is, and vow to never be back here again!


This weekend I created my meal plan for the upcoming week. I have some food prep to do this afternoon so that I can be prepared for the week. I will be following the lowest tier of calorie brackets. This should put me losing 2 - 3 lbs per week, which is a nice healthy weight loss. I would love to lose the whole 70 lbs in a month, but let's face it....it took me 4 years to get here, I will not lose it overnight! (LIFESTYLE, LIFESTYLE LIFESTYLE - that is the motto of this journey!)


I am going to use this blog to share every step of my journey with you. Quite honestly that is very uncomfortable for me - I am generally a private person by nature! Hopefully others that have had similar serious speed bumps in their healthy lifestyle journey will feel inspired by my journey and see that not all hope is lost. Women CAN get fit again after 40, and I am about to prove it to y'all!!!
